little sparrow mountain

Hoping they could help. Their botanical expert was out but I left my address for this blog hoping she may come and take a look. FINGERS CROSSED!

Mini cairns on my porch

Cute huh? Thanks Elaine

This is a strange plant/wild flower/edible? I really need to take this in to the forestry service and see what this is. The top photo is how it looks when it first comes out in the spring. The bottom photo is how it looks today it is sturdy enough to stand through the winter snows. The seed heads look like little pumpkins....funky huh?

This is the seed stage of that asparagas looking plant

This Iris smells as good as it looks. It has not been a great iris year. I have certainly had better years where everything bloomed. A few are still coming into bloom so we'll see soon.

After seeing my friend Pam's bleeding hearts mine do not seem so big ....bring on the compost!

Blooming soon! This year I hope I have some red ones.

I do need more Lupines....I need to put some in the green house for fall plants.
